Dress Etiquette Friday: Hats

People love their casual Fridays. It's almost like when we had free-dress at school? (we wore uniforms where I went) Or picture day? You wanted to show off your cool new clothes or cute outfit to your friends. But now, as an adult, I work in a business casual type of environment. Luckily we have "you can wear jeans on Fridays". Not too long ago, the head of the company said we could start wearing sports related stuff as well, on Fridays. I thought this was awesome! Now, keep in mind, the business casual only applies to the people who work at the main office. Anyway, this is getting too long. What I really wanted to get to, is what is appropriate or not. No matter how casual you can be, there are certain things that are just not okay in the workplace. 

Maybe I stand alone on this, but hey! it's my blog! So, here goes. 

Come on grown-ups, stop testing the waters. I don't wanna see your thighs in the too-short skirt! Come on grown-ups, no, you can't wear something backless.
Come on grown-ups, no, you cannot wear the jeans with all the tears in them. I wish I could too!!
And lastly, and the reason I was inspired to write today, please don't wear sunglasses or hats indoors. 

Really? 

This literally has to go without saying. Sometimes I try to rationalize certain things becasue of fashion, or just maybe it was the last thing they had. But nope. A hat? Please stop. Maybe I am used to being surrounded by gentelmen, who have some manners, but unless you are an MLB player, or PGA tour  contestant, please stop. So, enjoy your weekend, wear your hat, outside, protect your noggin. But don't be dense and embarrass yourself by wearing a baseball cap to the office next week. Or do. Whatever it's your life! 😸
